Breast Cancer: Symptoms and Treatment, A Video

The name of Angelina Jolie is so popular and there is no need of any sort of explanation about this beauty queen of Hollywood. Everyone likes her beauty and acting. She is one of the most famous film personalities in the contemporary film world. She is also the hot choice of the universal media. A recent turn of development in her life and her very reaction to the same became a hot debate of the society in favor and against. This essay examines her decision and the factors that forced her do this.

It was all on a sudden that we came to hear the sad and shocking news- Angelina Jolie decided to undergo a double Mastectomy to counter the risk of Breast Cancer! She had no cancer but was fearful of an attack anytime as her family had had a sad history with the disease

.

The breasts are the most beautiful and precious assets of a woman. It is all the more important if she is an actress. The size and shape of the breasts have a great appeal for an artist to have a successful stint on the silver screen. Yes, a thing of beauty is a joy forever!

Yet, at the peak of her successful career, Angelina took that most fearful as well painful decision of removing her both breasts. Why she took that drastic step? Why she gave the nod for a surgery? What prompted her to go for this terrific act? Let's examine.

A Message To The Society

In fact, she was giving a great message to the whole world. By doing so, she was taking a positive step, which dramatically changed people's attitude towards cancer and cancer patients. Cancer is a killing disease. Nearly half a million people are killed by breast cancer alone every year. The causality on account of other kind of cancer is even terrific. Some serious steps, education, awareness, all these and much more needed to help the fight against cancer. Though dangerous, cancer is curable. It never spreads. Nevertheless, the cancer patients are increasing every year. Angelina has millions of fans across the world. Naturally whatever she does will have a great impact on her followers. So needless to say this too (read her decision) played that role so well and the message did click well.

Angelina's Brave Act

Angelina had her own reasons for her brave act. Of course, some people strongly reacted against this. Some criticized her. Yet, millions of people all over the world stood with her and congratulated her on the brave act. Her decision was firm. She wrote a letter and published it for the public. It conveyed her love and care of a mother.and concern and respect for her husband. Her intention was clear- she hoped her story would inspire other women fighting the life-threatening disease. Her letter was emotional, touching and self explanatory. It goes like a beautiful poem but with a strong message. Her letter is available in New York Times. You can Google and obtain the text. Everyone must read the letter as it is such a fabulous one conveying a great message to the whole world.

She wrote her mother had fought against cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. Obviously, Angelina wished and decided that her kids won't be subjected to such a bad situation as she faced at a younger age. The love and care of a mother are more important for a family, especially to the children. When her doctor conveyed her that she had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and 95 percent risk of ovarian cancer, she, a family loving woman, had no other choice. She gave nod for the surgery. Yes, just to avert to a bad situation at a later stage, she opted to go for a preventive double Mastectomy.

She also wrote in praise of her partner Brad Pitt. She narrated that he was so loving and supportive. She thanked him for his love, care and support throughout the crisis time.

Dear readers, It is a time to act. Don't hesitate for a moment. Let's create a world forum for the benefit of millions of cancer patients suffering at each nook and corner of this world.

Let's hope the world hear Angelina's message! She turned to be an Angel now. Through this bold step she also became a new Avatar of love and care for the suffering millions. Let's pray for her health.
